This Counts, Right?

I created this blog (my fourth? fifth?) to start writing again on a regular basis, and to record my graduate school years.

Did I write in it my entire first semester of library school? Hell no.

On a whim, I've decided I HAVE to post on the first day of 2010, or obviously this whole blog will forever be a failure. Setting up rash goals that I have to reach immediately - this is kind of my thing. So, squeaking under the wire by the skin of my teeth on a thread, here's my first entry. And, I just realized that it's actually 11:42, not 10:42 (having not switched my laptop back to EST after visiting the fiancé in CST-land). So I have 18 minutes to do this.

First semester sucked in many ways - the classes were mostly basic entry-level and boring; the one class that wasn't was difficult and forced me to do a lot of stuff I've never done before, but surprise! That's what grad school is. Looking forward to a better semester with classes that interest me more this time 'round, a semester where I'm not singing The Mountain Goats's "This Year" every weekend.

I am gonna make it! Through this year! If it kills me!

I made it. Bring it, 2010! I'm planning on kicking all kinds of ass this year.
